About us

Drawer with wings

How do you approach a new subject, and how do you develop a new skill?
That question led, around 2002, to a prototype for a concept based on the idea of creating an overview, a condensed guide, and a practical cheat sheet for different fields. The prototype ended up in a drawer, where it could easily have remained. But more than 20 years later, the idea was awakened from its long dormancy and began to take shape once again.

Simplicitas was founded in 1995

Simplicity has always been a source of fascination. The company was born with the product Epistola — a letter opener combined with a letter scale, crafted from a single piece of stainless steel. The product was designed by Teo Enlund, later a professor at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Epistola received design awards in Sweden, Germany, and Switzerland.

The challenge continued, and more products took shape in collaboration with dedicated designers — all sharing the common ambition of bringing simplicity, timeless design, and an unexpected perspective to their creations. Between 1995 and 2006, Simplicitas products received a total of nine prestigious design awards. Over the years, three of the products were also included in the permanent collections of renowned museums.

Now we continue with simplicity as our inspiration. We hope Simplicitas Microlearning inspires you to take the next step.

Our world of knowledge

Like a constantly growing library — only without walls and open around the clock. Here, big ideas coexist with small discoveries, and the more we learn, the more questions arise. The beauty of it is that no one knows everything, but everyone can contribute something. And that’s exactly where knowledge becomes truly exciting.

Diving into a new subject doesn’t have to be difficult. Start with the bigger picture and build an understanding of the broader perspective. Once you begin to grasp the essentials, you can dig deeper. We don’t provide the shovel — that part is up to you. What Simplicitas Microlearning does offer, however, is a map of the ground where you feel inspired to dig.

Our vision

To open a door just slightly — so that in only a few minutes, you can understand the fundamentals of a new subject, just enough to spark curiosity. From there, the journey begins. More questions, more perspectives, and more conversations with new and old friends. Hopefully, the beginning of a lifelong adventure.
